ALDI SIGNS AS ANCHOR FOR NORTHERN QUARTER

Top discount supermarket Aldi is coming to Telford, to launch the £15 million development of the Northern Quarter at The Telford Centre. 

This is the third major retailer to have signed at the centre in the space of a week and reinforces Telford’s attraction as a key regional shopping and leisure destination.

NEXT AND NEW LOOK SIGN UP FOR NEW FASHION QUARTER AT THE TELFORD CENTRE

Fashion giants Next and New Look have signed major pre-lets for the exciting new Fashion Quarter at The Telford Centre.

Both retailers are substantially increasing their presence in Telford with Next upsizing to a 30,000 sq ft store and New Look to a 16,000 sq ft store on new 10 year leases, demonstrating their commitment to the centre.  This will allow both retailers to improve their store environments and stock a wider range of products.

WORK STARTS ON TELFORD BUS STATION REDEVELOPMENT

Work on the redevelopment of Telford’s bus station has now started.

The exciting project will see the existing out-of-date bus station replaced with a bright new facility that offers a more welcoming, safer environment and transforms the look of Telford’s Northfield Street.

Telford & Wrekin Council gave the green light for the plans for the bus station redevelopment earlier this year (September 2016).

NEW TOWN CENTRE BUS STATION GETS GO AHEAD

Telford & Wrekin councillors have given the green light to plans to redevelop Telford’s ageing bus station.

The plans will create a modern facility in the same location, which provides a more welcoming, safer environment as well as bringing a whole new look to Telford’s Northfield Street.

PLANS IN FOR TELFORD BUS STATION REDEVELOPMENT

A planning application for the redevelopment of Telford's Bus Station has been submitted to Telford & Wrekin Council. 

The proposals – the latest phase of the multi-million pound transformation of the town centre – see the existing out-dated bus station replaced with a new, contemporary and more welcoming facility in the same location.

The application follows a public consultation in March, when nearly 1,500 people viewed the plans for the project over three days in the shopping centre.

WORK STARTS ON NEW SOUTHERN QUARTER RESTAURANTS

Sovereign Centros, the UK retail and leisure developer and asset manager, announces that it has started construction today on the first phase of the £200 million regeneration of Telford Shopping Centre.  

Contractor, Thomas Vale, has begun work on the 26,500 sq ft first phase development, known as the Southern Quarter, on the site of the former Focus store or ‘Green Shed’, which was demolished in 2014.  Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2017. 

DEMOLITION GETS UNDERWAY FOR TELFORD’S NORTHERN QUARTER

Redevelopment has started on the old ASDA supermarket at Telford Shopping Centre, paving the way for its transformation into an exciting new feature building comprising large, modern shops. Work is also underway to demolish the old ASDA petrol filling station.

NEW BIG NAME RESTAURANTS REVEALED FOR TELFORD SHOPPING CENTRE 

Three new restaurants are set to open as part of the Southern Quarter development at Telford Shopping Centre.  Top national chains TGI Friday’s, Prezzo and Handmade Burger Company have all signed up to take space in the new development.

GO AHEAD FOR NEW NORTHERN QUARTER AT TELFORD SHOPPING CENTRE

Major plans for large, modern shops at Telford Shopping Centre have been given the green light by Telford & Wrekin Council, creating a new Northern Quarter for the town centre. 

Up to seven new stores totalling 70,000 sq ft will be created through the redevelopment of the former ASDA supermarket, dramatically transforming the northern part of the shopping centre and providing space to attract new brands to Telford.

NEW NORTHERN QUARTER PLANS SUBMITTED

Telford Shopping Centre has unveiled exciting plans for the next phase of development in the town centre, with the creation of a new Northern Quarter.

Proposals have been submitted to Telford & Wrekin Council to redevelop the former ASDA store to create up to seven large, modern stores – a total of over 70,000 sq ft.
