Walkabout - Wrekin is an initiative organised in partnership with Natural England and NHS Shropshire Community Health offering people within the local area guided walks from various locations within the Telford and border areas to support health and fitness for the local communutiy.
Walking can be one of the most simple yet effective ways to exercise. It can fit into any lifestyle and doesn't have to cost a fortune to do. Following the many successes of pre-planned walks around the area, Walkabout - Wrekin will begin their first outing on Tuesday 24 January 2012 at 1pm. The guided walks are free of charge and will be lead by qualified Walk Leaders from the All Terrain store based within the Shopping Centre.
The walks are for 30 minutes long and include public footpaths within the Telford Town Park so fit in with lunch breaks or a break through your day. Routes are pre-planned and are pushchair and wheelchair accessible too so it really can suit everyone!
Walks begin outside the Debenhams store rear entrance off Red Oak car park at 1pm and participants are required to register in advance so please arrive up to 10 minutes before start time.
If popular, the walks will take place every Tuesday at 1pm.
